PROGRAMME |
| PGDPM is a 12 month intensive,
self-financing, residential programme, leading to Post-Graduate Diploma
in Plantation Management. It is co-sponsored by the Peermade Development
Society, a premier Non-Governmental Organisation committed to the total
development of agriculture and allied fields. |

THE
FACULTY |
| The members of teaching staff
are well qualified and experienced in their respective fields. They
represent Agriculture, Horticulture, Management, Commerce, Computer
application, Social Science and other disciplines closely related to the
field of Plantation Management. Besides whole time teaching staff, the
programme ensures the service of eminent resource persons as guest and
consultant faculty. |
FIELD
TRAINING |
| Practical training receives
equal thrust along with class room sessions. Candidates will be placed
in scientifically managed plantations for concurrent and regular field
exposure. Further, placement in a recognised/registered plantation for a
continuous period of six weeks in the last term leading to project
writing and seminar presentation is a unique feature of the course. |
SPONSORED
CANDIDATES |
| Admission will be on general
merit. However, there is a provision for admission to a maximum of five
seats to be sponsored by registered planters/planters
organisations. The qualification and other eligibility criteria will
remain the same for all the candidates admitted to the programme. |
LOCATION |
| The Institute is situated 42
km. east of Kottayam Railway station on the Kottayam - Kumily road. It
is well connected by regular bus services from both sides. The Cochin
International Airport is located 90 km. northwest of Kanjirappally. |
